Our plans for 2025

Dear friends of the Journal — our readers, authors, colleagues!

In 2025 we invite authours to publish their articles in the Issues Cuadernos Iberoamericanos that will be dedicated to the following interdisciplinary topics:

First Issue — «Humans. Language. Society»,

Second Issue — «Space and Material World»,

Third Issue — «Spiritual Values. Everyday Life»,

Fourth Issue — «Experience of the Past and Present. History. Culture. Art».

Please mind the submission deadlines for the Issues:

№1 — February 15, 2025;

№2 — May 15, 2025;

№3 — August 15, 2025;

№4 — November 15, 2025.

The length of the articles (without metadata) is to be 30,000 to 60,000 printed characters. Articles should be sent to the official e-mail of the Journal,  submissions@iberpapers.org. All articles are subject to a “blind” peer review. They can be submitted in Russian, Spanish, Portuguese or English.

Articles are accompanied by pictures, as this is the style of the Journal. It is desirable that authors send their photos and illustrations to the proposed publications. At the same time, the editorial board reserves the right to suggest its own decisions on the design of articles.
As we have already mentioned on several occasions, 2023 was a key year for changing the profile and priorities of Iberoamerican Papers. The task we set - the publication of interdisciplinary research to study a comprehensive worldview of Ibero-American countries and their relationship with Russia, reviews of new works on Ibero-American studies, interviews with leading experts - is embodied in the pages of the Journal and attracts increasing interest from readers and researchers.

According to the new concept developed by the editorial office, each issue is a kind of almanac, a collection of articles and essays on a chosen topic (in 2023, these were «national images», «art stories», «dialogues about literature and folklore», «society, culture, language»). In 2024, the Jornal's Issues were devoted to the topics City, Museum in space and time, Traditions of Ibero-american countries, and Contact between the cultures of Russia and Ibero-American countries.

Meanwhile the topics of ‘civilisational frontier’, national identity, unity and diversity of Latin American and Caribbean countries, the intertwining of cultures of the Old and New Worlds, and relations with Russia still arouse unflagging interest and polemical disputes. Dialogue in the broadest sense of the word is the experience of overcoming the alien and foreign for each of the parties, and it unfolds in different scientific spheres: ethnic, historical, linguistic, psychological, mental and artistic, which is precisely what we'll strive to reflect on the pages of the Journal in 2025.
