In the article the problems created by the crisis in Catalonia are considered. The author focuses on an unprecedented wave of the russophobia that has captured a part of the political class of Spain which destroys the basis of the Russian-Spanish relations. At the same time, as it is noted in article, Spain and its people endure today an important period of self-identification in new conditions which can be completed successfully in case of avoiding the division of Catalans into winners and losers.

The article notes that the main vector of the foreign policy activity of the People’s Party Government is still relations with Latin America. Despite certain difficulties that arise in Spain’s relations with some of the countries of the region during the rule of the People’s Party of M. Rajoy, the line continues to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Latin American countries.

This work is an analysis of the novel of F. Dostoievski White Nights starting from an attentive reading and attending to basic elements of its composition. The title, as a compositional element, shows a dual structure that permeates the entire work.

The landscape is a complex concept that results from the interplay of nature, society and culture. It`s outlined, firstly, the geographical ideas, general concepts, perception and interpretation of Spanish landscape. For the first time, a new word is proposed for the Spanish language: “maresaje”, to make reference to the marine landscape or seascape. Therefore, this paper aims to highlight the interest of deep and valuable images about landscape and seascape coming from literature and painting for the construction of Spanish cultural identity.

Nowadays, in Spain, the use of the regional co-official languages as a barrier and linguistic weapon is supporting the idea of independence of some autonomous communities and to the detriment of the rest of the spaniards. We speak about a brief immersion in this topic, even quoting verses of the Bible, for an explication of the use of language as a political weapon and the damages it makes.

In article there are analysed the characteristic processes happening in the grammatical sphere in a journalese discourse of Spain. The special attention is paid to the practical examples showing cases of violation of grammatical norms and standards.
